What We Do

Bpeace believes the path to peace is lined with jobs. We work with entrepreneurs in conflict-affected countries to scale their businesses, create significant employment for all, and expand the economic power of women.  More jobs mean less violence.®

We currently operate in Afghanistan, Rwanda, and soon El Salvador and Bosnia. We seek invitations into communities where new jobs can be a game changer that provides people with meaningful work that cuts the oxygen to violence.

Bpeace is a non-profit coalition of business professionals offering pro-bono access to our expertise, technical assistance, networks and proven methodologies to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses into sustainable and profitable enterprises. We select motivated entrepreneurs we call Fast Runners to receive access to our services.

Fast Runners possess the business acumen to grow their enterprises quickly and the capabilities to deliver scalable outcomes in their communities, well beyond the level of micro-finance. Bpeace works with these small and medium-sized businesses—often referred to as the Missing Middle or small and growing businesses (SGBs)—because they typically fall under the radar of international investors.

We tailor two-three year investment plans for each entrepreneur —a mix of consulting, training, mentoring, out-of-country apprenticeships and business site visits, employee technical training, equipment, technology, branding and marketing, and networking opportunities.

Bpeace enables a lasting footprint for peace because the Fast Runners we chose share in our vision of employment that sparks a multiplier effect—that sustains thousands of families, boosts local purchasing power, and in turn lifts other businesses, creates even more employment, and accelerates the community up the path to prosperity and peace. Together we elevate the ability of 1 person and then another to have a peaceful influence on society.
